Cleanliness campaign run by Dulheri village Youth get a special mention in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program.
In the 98th episode of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Sunday lauded the youth of Haryana’s Dulheri village who are enthusiastically taking up the cleanliness drive.
Prime Minister’s special mention
The Prime Minister often mentions the excellent work done anywhere in the country in the “Mann Ki Baat” program. This time the Dulheri village of Haryana has been mentioned, from which the youth have done a very good job like cleanliness campaign. There was a special mention of the youth in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, a cleanliness campaign run by Dulheri village.
The Prime Minister appreciated the work of the youth associated with the cleanliness campaign. The Prime Minister said that the countrymen should take a pledge to use cloth bags instead of plastic ones.
Praising these youth, the Prime Minister said that the enthusiasm and dedication shown by these young boys has definitely changed the meaning of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
What is special?
It is noteworthy that three youths of village Dulheri had taken the initiative to clean the village three years back. Now more than 60 youths have joined this team of youths running this cleanliness drive. With these dedicated efforts of the youth, the village has become a role model for other villages. Awareness about cleanliness has also increased among the people of the village.
These youth have decided to make Bhiwani city a role model in terms of cleanliness.
He formed an organization named Yuva Swachhata Evam Jan Seva Samiti. They reach Bhiwani at 4 in the morning and start a cleanliness drive at different places in the city. Appreciating the efforts of these youth, the Prime Minister said that till now they have cleared tons of garbage from different areas of the city.
Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal also watched the telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat program in Karnal. Local residents were also present on this occasion. Encouraging the youth of this village, the Prime Minister said, in the Mann Ki Baat programme, Shri Narendra Modi said that we are determined, we can make a huge contribution to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

This village falls in Bhiwani district of Haryana. The village comes under Tosham Tehsil. This village is situated at a distance of 32 km from Bhiwani and 8 km from Tosham.
Mann Ki Baat Program
The program “Mann Ki Baat” is an Indian radio program hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In which he addresses the people of the country on All India Radio, DD National and DD News. This program was launched on 3 October 2014. So far there have been a total of 98 episodes of this program. The 98th episode aired on 26 February 2023.
