A Letter to a Mother, who is becoming a Mother-in-law!

Dear Mother,

Congratulations to you for becoming a mother-in-law! You are bringing home a daughter-in-law, to add more Happiness & Love to your family! So happy for you!

Do you remember when we brought home a rose plant from the nursery for our garden? I still can recall that wide smile on your face, like a child 🥰🥰

Care like a mother

You found the best spot in your garden, with enough sunlight, you dug a pit, carefully took the plant out of its bag. You placed the plant along with the soil it came with. You said that it’s the mother soil and it should be there for the plant to grow its roots and hold on to the new soil.

After planting the rose plant, you took so much care. In the first week, the plant shed all its leaves. You said, ‘The plant is adjusting to the new environment. It needs time’. You created a suitable environment by taking care of the pests in your garden. You even talked with the plant 😅😅

You took care of it like a baby, watering it, nourishing it with fertilizer and waiting for the next bud to appear!🌺🌺💛

You called me early in the morning, jumping with joy, to share that a bud has come!! You felt like you were on top of the world!! The plant had responded to your Love with a gift – a bud! That powerful is your love!🌹

Dear friend, you are bringing home a Girl, who has spent 1/4th of her life in a different environment, brought up with different thoughts, conditioning and habits. We can’t understand our own behaviour sometimes…let alone understanding someone else!

Remember, you are uprooting a girl from her garden – her environment – and placing her in your family – an absolutely NEW environment! You are the Mother Soil…because you are the bridge for her to create a bond with the family. Why? Because you are a Mother!

Shower her with all the motherhood Love that you have ! Help her understand her new environment & become a part of your beautiful garden! Support her to be herself, by accepting her. You did not expect the rose to give hibiscus, isn’t it.☺️☺️

It’s each one of your family member’s responsibility to adjust and create a happy environment for that Daughter-in-law to become your daughter!

I’m sure you will love her to the core! Understand her and Accept her!

Because between you both, you are the adult, because your are a mother… isn’t it & adults are Matured…am I right? 🤔
